finally finished the fantastic four taschen, the bit with the thing and the yancy street gang made me giggle every time
also further convinced me that namor actually seems like a pretty cool character! he seems to have a lot to offer
can't wait to continu- oh.
Ok the fortnite token reminding me people got no self control
Also Talkin about pity dawg that's a free item shop for two weeks, and there's TWO of them they're not going to give hand outs
I wonder how people felt about Diana reforming a nazi in 1941.
I mean like that's a bold choice by Marston and I jive with it but during the war it must've been crazy
Honestly though reading through the two Marston DC Finests for wonder woman really did convince me of the impact she had. I mean just reading her first stories, you can really feel how impactful she was, the waves she made, just how overall important she was, especially back then
People would joke about batman and his Tibetan monks but apparently Diana had the same thing. Anytime she needed to be able to do something she'd be like "thanks to my Amazon training." And its not just like strong teeth, she'll be able to astral project or stop herself devolving
reading a bit of the original avengers really did warm me up to cap. US propaganda or not im sorry, he really is just that guy
caught up on the last like 7 issues of ryan norths FF, it was good and fun until he had to start writing tie ins again, the two he has written thus far are like the worst issues of the run, although the doom one is better i'd say
I forgot to give my thoughts on the avengers taschen
The first 16 issues are very fun! Basically serve to establish the avengers as those guys, the big guns. Especially thor, iron man, and cap who are all big guns in their own right. I didnt get to see much of giant man and wasp
Until the switch of line up, which brought its own strengths! Cap is the defacto leader but you can feel that he's treating the others not quite enough like fellow avengers, constantly trying to take the reins himself. Its a fun dynamic between him, quicksilver and Hawkeye.
I used to like books in like high-school and then I read the toll, realized it was possible for a book series to end badly and ruin the whole thing (I remember loving scythe and thunderhead), and I never read a standard book again. The toll killed them for me I HATE BOOKS
finished the taschen compact for the avengers
there's some unlogged ones as of now, but still cool to see
