EXPLAINATION FROM MY DEMO:
-Game feels a lot more like ygo than it feels like op
-leader based game no extra deck
-you have one "normal summon" a turn and can special summon via EX characters or effects
-start with 5 cards in hand. Player going 2nd can mulligan
-on the play draws 1 card, on the draw draws 2. Then both players draw 2 every turn
- there are "support" characters that you can either use as normal summons, "trap cards" (think ygo) or "handtraps" (think ygo) it appears so far handtraps are only on your own turn though. Traps either turn.
-5 slots for characters and 5 for face down supports (trapcards)
-you have 5 "charkra" these do not get paid to summon anything, only to activate support cards (the traps/handtraps-- so far it seems)
-you do not get chakra back automatically- you have to manually get it back via tapping your leader (this means you will end up skipping a swing from you leader)
-characters do not inheriently have rush aka they have summon sickness
-characters all have 2 different attack points. 1 attack value for when they attack a leader and 1 for when they attack rested characters. Characters also have an hp stat that determines if they die from battle with other characters. Attackers cannot be damaged only the target of battle
-a full damage step. Declaration, effects, support effects, damage calc
-a chain like ygo the resolves backwards
-no life cards. A life value like in magic
-game seems VERY FUN and interactive
-the arts are unbelievable. Best looking game ive ever seen visually.

🏆 CHINOIZECUP GLOBAL GAMES! 🏆 🌏
Very happy to announce one of the highest-level series ever!
16 invited countries will battle for the title of the strongest nation of the seas.
Each country will have a captain who can recruit 2 crew members. They will face off in a conquest format (4 decks + 1 ban) against their opponents in the group stages.
Starting next week, I will announce 4 captains/countries per week! Which country do you think will conquer the seas? And what team should they form?

@Kemo9319 @JorgeCarIos Los mejores con la masterclass del deck para top!
IMO the problem with Borsalino + Quasar isn’t that decks using it would dominate most of top cut. The problem is that a good player can miss top cut because they lose a game they had under control to an excessive trigger chain from the opponent.

A small discussion I wanted to start.
It’s been three years without a proper One Piece TCG World Championship, even though it’s Bandai’s flagship product and it’s putting up numbers they’ve never seen with any other game.
This year we were promised a livestream dedicated entirely to Worlds. Did anyone actually see it? There were lastminute changes, and eventually the official communication was that we’ll only get to see the final tomorrow morning.
I was already worried about the direction the gameplay of One Piece has been taking lately, but honestly there’s an even bigger issue here: the way the game is being managed.
It almost feels like they don’t really care about the game.
The qualification system for Worlds isn’t very merit-based, and the World Championship itself ends up feeling like a local tournament at my local store.
A World Championship where Bo3 isn’t played from the Swiss rounds is, in my opinion, absurd. We all know how random a Bo1 can be, especially at that level.
It’s a World Championship that doesn’t seem to be given any importance or value. Players are even prevented from posting during the event and showing the experience they’re having.
We’re talking about Worlds it should be something positive to showcase, the most important event of the year, something to present to the world to highlight your TCG compared to the others.
Instead, it feels like their philosophy is:
“The game exploded, so everything’s fine as it is. Nothing needs to be improved.”
The most worrying part is that after three years nothing has really been done to improve the situation. At this point, I honestly don’t think it ever will.
See you tomorrow morning on stream to watch the finals.
