Living by beach it is an absolute nonnegotiable that my kids learn to swim & swim well. I asked my Ss 5 years ago where to go for my kiddos. Every S said Splash Aquatics. They were right. Am competes at JOs this week. Check out the flyer to learn more about this awesome program!
Today our vision became a reality. Today all the months spent brainstorming, writing, revising & developing materials were put into action. Today @HBUHSD debuted its OWN New Teacher Induction Program! I am so excited & honored to lead our new Ts. #hbuhsdNTI

One of my personal goals this year is to CREATE more. Very excited to share one of my creations with you very soon!
Hey @HBUHSD Ts our wish just might come true. Let your voices be heard. @clonghb @JanetJamarquez @cathyleo12 @PeterThangDo1 @cashgpl
A fellow math teacher @apines611 could use our love & support. While battling for his life, he is still showing up to teach his Ss every day. 💚💛

I had the privilege of meeting with a director of @chocchildrens Mental Health dept. The ? that shapes their service is this:
How do we create a life worth living?
Something for all of us educators/parents to also consider as we teach Ss now, post-COVID & always. #MentalHealth
1st Day of Hybrid School...again! I wanted to give our @HBUHSD new Ts a little something to ease anxiety & create a smile. So I put on my super hero mask and delivered motivational wall signs (some were left under doormats/mailboxes). How do you foster relationships? #hbuhsdNTI
Wouldn’t it be cool if when I held down a ❤️ emoji it gave me different shades within that color palette? This would help with school spirit text conversations. It’s the little things that matter when communicating with symbols. @AppleSupport @Apple @AndroidDev @Android
This is so cool! @HBUHSD Math this lesson would be awesome to kickoff the right triangle trig units we teach.

I made this @desmos Geometry lesson on right triangles. Thought I would share. #iteachmath #mtbos

I L💜VE coaching! Especially coaching new Ts. Weekly mentoring is so good for our growth and our souls. In the virtual world, I am really liking that my candidate and I are at different sites. So strange though that I have NEVER met her in person.

Today at lunch I walked around the block with my 8yo. She had just finished her Zoom Day. She told me all about distribution. To check her understanding I asked, “Can you give me an example? She did in a very eloquent 3rd grade way. Let’s rethink math assessment for good. #Reason

In college I did my calculus HW late on Friday Nights. Tonight I unleashed my inner math nerd to watch #DesmosLive | November 19, 2020 - YouTube

Every math T needs @Desmos in their life. This is a great way 2 combine math+animation+code. youtube.com/watch?v=P9NOIbEq…
Calling all Math Ts, what is your favorite Math Equation Editor to use with Google Docs & Slides? I need something that will work on chromebooks too for Ss. TIA!

One of my favorite EdTech Tools is @Edulastic for daily/weekly/formative/summative assessments. The new features are awesome! Warning! There is a learning curve when interacting w/these changes. See below for some guide videos:

Today my workout & mental health cleanse was in the garden. How do you detox from the work week & expand your range?

Coaching Ts on EdTech tools that transform their S learning experiences & reduces the T workload is so rewarding. Let’s all remember we want the Ss learning how to be a good human (and some math facts 😉) more than how to use a dozen tech tools. @HBUHSD
