The game itself isn’t even true woke it’s just woke signaling.
Think about it, the game lets you choose whatever gender you want from the start… but then locks it in so you can never change your gender afterwards. So you end up with characters that talk about it but your in game character can never actually do anything about it.
That choice is likely because having to properly program that experience would be a nightmare to maintain and a lot of extra voice acting work to cover all the scenarios.
In fact, in a way, they really are insulting their targeted audience by not including the in-game mechanics to support the gender-changing dialogue. That’s the evidence that points to woke signaling instead of being woke.
Pretty sure those white male OCD nerds they hate so much, while reluctant to the ideology, would have made damn sure that the game mechanics would support the actual programming complexities required for the seamless woke integration. I know I would have if I were the dev. And based on the complexity of the gamer’s multi-game choice carry over in Mass Effect 1, 2, and 3 you know they would have too.
I’m not happy to admit this but one of the nicest things about being on a 7 day cruise is being without internet and taking a vacation from social media.
My personified social media addiction thinks the above statement is utter blasphemy.
