With Uniblock we solved routing for blockchain
Now with Hopscotch weโre solving routing for LLMs

There is a lot of interesting, never before seen information in Anthropicโs S1. Here are a few thoughts.
1. The revenue is ridiculous.
Revenue:
โข 2023: $41M
โข 2024: $386M
โข 2025: $4.6B
โข First six months of 2026: $16.3B
They made more in Q1 than in all of last year. Then more than doubled it in Q2.
2. Look at what customers are spending over the trailing 12 months:
โข 11,900+ customers spending $100K
โข 1,900+ spending $1M
โข Around 250 spending $10M
3. Net revenue retention: roughly 900%.
That means the existing customer cohort is spending approximately 9x what it did a year earlier, including the effect of customers who reduced spending or left.
A normal incredible number is 150%
4. Economics are improving. Q2 revenue grew 1,368% year over year, while compute and infrastructure expenses grew 300%. They posted $974M in operating profit that quarter.
5. Youโll see headlines about an $80.7B first-half net loss. Most of that came from noncash financing-related accounting charges. H1 still had a $693M operating loss, so the period and the definition of โprofitableโ matter.
Truly a never before seen S-1. Absolutely incredible

This is the kind of innovation Iโm here for.
No excuses anymore for not honouring our glorious dead.
Thank you Good Samaritan that put my lost AirPods on the table instead of stealing them at Sightglass on 7th this morning ๐
Feels incredible to see customers using, critiquing, and frankly, caring about what we are building.
Easily one of the best feelings in the world.
Playing around with @HopscotchAI for a cheaper OpenRouter (model router) alternative to access uncensored models (a must today for any security reseracher)
Reasons I'm looking for an alternative:
- OR has hidden defaults like "Allow free endpoints that train on request data" which annoy me
- The routing fee is wild, unless you switch to price-sort, which in return sends your prompts to the entire world
- Going to a direct provider (e.g. digital ocean) may be predicted, but again not ideal routing fee
@HopscotchAI wins I found so far:
- beautiful fine-grained controls over daily caps
- 1 click zero data retention guardrails and data leakage blockers
- Chaining providers (!!) - instead of relying on "cheap" as a decision chain, you can create an ordered provider preferences to have complete control on where your data is going
I use hermes as a harness to plug to this, you can set it up in anthropic if you enable developer tools but hermes is more native to that kind of work
I didnโt know startup insurance was a thing (?!) until Corgi started showing up everywhere.
Now I constantly read about an insurance company via โCorgi girlsโ
- Opened several 24/7 coffee shops
- Got other startups to sponsor drinks
- Went from $1.3B val to $5B in under 5 months
- Expanded into trucking, small business insurance, and asset management
The wildest stat: Nasdaq says theyโre on pace to become the 2nd largest US ETF issuer, behind BlackRock.
-What?
founded in 2024 btw
The pace and enthusiasm at Hopscotch is infectious. The team is consistently pulling all nighters. Most of the team hasnโt had a day off in weeks (months?)
My whoop is telling me I need more sleep.
Iโm thinking deeply about how to keep the pace up without burning everyone out.
Open to feedback.
Iโm really interested to see how Waymo works in winter and inclement weather.
My Tesla doesnโt work if the sun hits the cameras at a specific angle, and winter feels a bit scary.
Obviously the Waymo tech is different so letโs see how this goes.
Weโre bringing the magic of Waymo to Toronto! ๐จ๐ฆ
In the coming days, youโll begin seeing Waymoโs all-electric vehicles driving through Torontoโs streets as we lay the groundwork for our ride-hailing service.
Our goal is to begin serving riders in 2028.

Go to college
It's a quick signal to investors and employers that you're worth talking to.
So as long as you pick a good school and a good degree, college is absolutely worth it.
Momentum at a startup has to be earned.
The natural state of a rocket is to fall back to earth. It takes constant thrust to fight gravity.
Startups are no different. Stop pushing, even for a bit, and gravity takes over.
Momentum is never guaranteed. You have to keep earning it
