Andy Burnham’s first real test is the Budget. Labour has a second chance, but hope must mean real change workers can feel. That means money back in people’s pockets now and investment to rebuild British industry and create good jobs. The question is simple: who pays? It’s time workers stopped footing the bill. mirror.co.uk/news/politics/b…

Chancellor John Healey is expected to confirm in his maiden Budget that the full state pension will rise by £489 to £13,036, equivalent to 3.9 per cent. However, doing so would bring thousands of low-income pensioners over the personal allowance threshold, forcing them into paying tax. The Chancellor is therefore expected to announce a rise in the tax-free allowance for low-income pensioners. Tap to find out how much the move will cost taxpayers ⤵️ telegraph.co.uk/politics/202…

The REAL living wage is to increase to £14.10/hr (£15.45/hr) meaning half a million workers on this voluntary employers' scheme will get a pay rise. I've long been a supporter of the real living wage and would encourage employers to join it if you can... moneysavingexpert.com/news/2…

About 6,000 workers who are paid the Real Living Wage in Northern Ireland could be set for a pay boost. The Real Living Wage is voluntarily paid by some businesses to reflect the cost of living. It's currently £13.45 an hour, but is set to be increased to £14.10 an hour.

I have emailed my MLAs asking them to reject the Education Minister’s amendments to the Holiday Hunger Bill. Children & families really need these payments to #EndHolidayHunger now. You can email your MLA here: actnow.movement-action.org/p…
