“The Carol stuff has been fun. Sometimes these characters do become too powerful, but there’s something really interesting about taking away her ability to fly. She’s Air Force, flying is second nature to her. It’s a very different kind of feeling for her. Especially being on the Avengers, a team that she normally leads. You know in a diminished state, what does that mean for Carol and how does she rise in those circumstances?”

Psyduck/Golduck should never be water/psychic because it doesn't WANT to use it's psychic powers. It's the opposite of Bagon dreaming of flying. Psyduck hates it's psychic powers so much that it's evolution was reached to control it and be what it always wanted: A great swimmer!
