Everyone’s celebrating how much easier AI has made marketing. We’ve generated 40,000+ AI ads on our platform, and I think we’re overlooking what happens when everyone gets the same shortcut.

This has been a topic I've been debating posting about for a while now, but at trygaas.com is something that we've really been thinking about because how we fit in this ecosystem is going to be very important, especially long term.

the most expensive hire a founder makes is their first marketing hire. heres the mistake. you feel like you need marketing help, so you hire for what feels important. a brand person. a social media manager. someone to "own content". six months later youve got a nicer instagram, but no results the issue is you hired for visibility when you needed revenue. your first marketing hire shouldnt be a title that makes you look like a real company. it should be a person who can build a pipeline and prove what actually drives growth. everything else is a luxury you buy later, once the money is coming in. but heres the part that stings more. a lot of founders try to fix slow growth by hiring a head of growth, and it makes things worse. if your repeat rate is under 20% or your margins are broken, a growth leader doesnt fix that. they just expose it faster and more expensively, because now youre paying a senior salary to discover the foundation was never there. the order matters. get one person who can prove what drives revenue. fix the fundamentals they surface. then hire around whats actually working. hiring for how it looks instead of what it makes is how you burn a year and a payroll.

first-time buyers are three quarters of your conversions. they make up 0% of your profit. returning customers are a quarter of your conversions and 100% of your profit. the customers you obsess over acquiring barely make you money. you ignore those same customers after checkout and lose tons of profit there. in the past, most brands had this backwards. they would strategize heavily to decrease cpas, treat retention as a side goal, and wonder why their revenue increases but causes cash flow issues. now shifting to focusing on LTV is so important. when we keep LTV in mind, we end up tanking larger cpas which is destined to happen with the shift in customer behavior

meta just shipped an official ads mcp server and almost nobody is talking about it. for context, an mcp server is the plug that lets an ai agent talk directly to your ad account. read the ad data, pull ad performance, take actions on the account. meta building an official one means they are giving ai agents a direct line into ad accounts on purpose. pair that with muse image, their new model that generates ad creative right inside advantage+, and the picture gets obvious. meta is quietly building every piece needed for software to run an ad account end to end. they want to take over ads completely. they're not hiding it either. 8 million advertisers are already using their ai creative tools. so the media buyer role is getting replaced right now. meta is shipping the actual tools for it right now. step ahead of the crowd.

your whole gtm stack in 2026 should be ai tools stacked end to end. attio.com runs your crm. everything updates itself. no more manual data entry. origamiagents.com does your prospecting. scans the web for fit and intent and builds your lead list while you sleep. clay.com handles outreach. enriches every lead from 100+ sources and writes the first line for you. lavender.ai cleans up your emails. scores every draft in real time and tells you why it won't get a reply. trygaas.com runs your ads. reads your icp, makes the creative, launches across meta, google, and amazon, and optimizes on its own. each one took a job that used to eat someone's entire week and turned it into a background process.
