every so often I rediscover the perfect food item that is the crispy chicken snack wrap from mcdonalds, eat them for lunch multiple days in a row, then get confused about why I feel a bit gross and tired

More broadly, our findings reveal how tissues match🔗 #immune_support to #metabolic_demand . Understanding this dialogue 🗣 may help explain how disrupted mitochondrial or immune function contributes to tissue decline in aging and metabolic disease.💡

I'm using weird primers I designed myself to add a bunch of stuff at the 5' end, am using cDNA as the template instead of a plasmid.... This shouldn't have worked

Today I'm feeling v grateful I got the opportunity to do med school post-PhD. I've learnt so much and understand the context for my PhD work so much better now. There should be more opportunities for PhD students to get exposure to the clinical environment - I've found that intricate knowledge of a mechanism is most useful when placed in context.
