Please double check the Hardwick website before setting off if you are visiting specifically to participate, please note last entry to the hall is 2.45pm, and the hall closes at 3.30pm

1/2 Come and join the visitors to @NThardwick in nominating and embroidering the name of your "Virtuous Woman" - any woman or girl who you respect, who inspired you, or whom you align yourself with in some way. All panels or embroidered names will be attached to the monumental
2/2 Virtuous Woman embroidery being displayed at Hardwick Hall.

A Virtuous Woman is a participatory textile artwork, now open for you to make your choice @NThardwick
This new artwork is inspired by Bess of Hardwick's monumental Ancient Noblewomen embroideries which she used to show her visitors what her virtues and values were
the summer check the National Trust Hardwick Hall website for most up to date participation dates.
This artwork is part of ongoing doctoral research with @FAHACS @UniversityLeeds

Visitors to Hardwick Hall can now choose their own "Virtuous Woman" - any woman or girl who you admire, who inspires you or whom you align yourself with. Embroider their name, and have your choice immortalised on the dress
