Theres so much that could’ve saved Unite, but not putting the game on PC and neglecting the global version of the game in favor of the chinese version (only to stop after the chinese version failed miserably) were both such baffling decisions

As part of the 2020 Nintendo Gigaleak, an email from Miyamoto to Rare was discovered outlining an idea for a change in Donkey Kong's character for his first fully 3D platforming game. This concept was ultimately scrapped, but the idea may have contributed to giving DK a weapon.
