Proud to be a Texas PTA Life Member. Calling all TX PTA members - REPOST & tag! #txlege @risdpta @txstatepta
Tax dollars for teachers are from me & the people of Texas - the $$ don’t belong to Gov. Abbott. The people have spoken - Pay the teachers & fund students.
A Master Class on Failed Leadership: With a massive budget surplus at hand, Abbott is holding teacher salaries hostage amid massive inflation in a state that had 50k teachers leave their positions last yr & ranks 41st for school funding. This is not about kids, evidence, or the future of Texas - this is about how our democratic system is corrupted by a few radical billionaires demanding vouchers despite any grassroots support. @MomsAGAbbott @TexasAFT @txstateteachers @DianeRavitch @pastors4txkids @DisRightsTx #Txlege texastribune.org/2023/10/12/…

Last week, Girl Scouts of the USA posthumously bestowed upon Amerie Jo Garza, 10, of Uvalde, Texas, one of the highest honors in Girl Scouting: the Bronze Cross. The Bronze Cross is awarded for saving or attempting to save life at the risk of the Girl Scout’s own life. 1/3

Joe is the perfect representation of the history, legacy & tradition of multi-generations of RISD families. We came “home” to raise our kiddos and pay forward the great teachers who helped shape our lives.
@Sawyer20Joe @stringer_patsy When your brother is Star Teacher of the year for JJP and then you realize he’s been Mr PHS for 40 years 😁. His passion for teaching and love of RISD runs deep. So proud to call you brother 💙❤️💙❤️

Great game by Arkansas! Congrats Razorbacks. I am so incredibly proud of @drewtimme2, his coaches and his teammates. I wanted them to win the whole thing for themselves and Zag Nation. I hate that we didn’t but I have loved every minute of this squad!
