Went to a card show and thought maybe because of the sentiment on this app that more people would be more hesitant buying
That was not the case, could find a buyer for anything I wanted to sell
I think many cards top out when too much speculative capital enters (psa 10 vintage, gold stars, etc)
However the collector type cards still have very strong underlying demand which imo tells me the direction the market is generally heading

I am shocked no one has made a serious attempt to collect every graded copy of a base set holo yet (especially Charizard).
In the realm of institutional capital it would be a fairly inexpensive project.

All of us at Marvel Studios are deeply saddened by the passing of Sir Patrick Stewart. Sir Patrick brought Professor Charles Xavier to life with extraordinary grace, intelligence, and humanity, defining the character for generations of fans, from "X-Men" to "Logan" to "Avengers: Doomsday." He was a singular talent, a generous collaborator, and a true gentleman. Our hearts go out to his wife Sunny, his children, his friends, and the countless fans around the world whose lives he touched with his art.

Once I get super close to completing this quest I may start cracking and deactivating all my graded Kabutos so the pop count declines over time.
Everything will be on display anyway. The individual values mean nothing once inside the collection.

Bend, Oregon man who shot and killed a shooter at his daughters' school speaks out, praises female teacher for fighting the shooter, allowing him to have a clear shot.
Kaylub Giamanco says he is haunted by the sound of children pleading for their lives.
He also praised the teacher for grabbing the gunman's weapon, allowing him to take a shot at the shooter.
"I want to recognize [the teacher]. She gave me the opportunity to make my shot without losing my life..."
"I swung the door open, and I stepped in, and I fired, and they dropped to the ground... I looked down at the gunman, and he was scrambling for his weapon. And I looked at him, and I shot him 2 more times..."

In 2006, $12.99 got you this Rayquaza ex promo AND four booster packs.
Illustrated by Ryo Ueda, who has 476 Pokémon cards to his name, the promo came inside the Rayquaza EX Collector’s Tin alongside two EX Emerald packs and two EX Crystal Guardians packs.
The card was visible through the packaging’s window, so you knew exactly what you were getting.
Just imagine walking into Target today and grabbing that tin off the shelf for $12.99.
PSA 10 is about $100,000 rn.
