After a long hiatus from Twitter / X, I’m back, with some 🗞 As of today, @AlloyAutomation is no longer just commerce-focused. We’re now industry-agnostic, and have a slew of new integrations we’re announcing soon. If you’re in SaaS and you’ve been thinking about integrations, please reach out 📩 Longer story behind our decision - Most founders start their journey with a pitch deck with a big 🥧 chart. Once founders actually start building, that TAM circle narrows down into SAM, and then SOM. Going to market requires a targeted approach, which sometimes means choosing a particular industry, vertical, or use case. At Alloy, we focused deeply on commerce for 3 years, and are now ready to pursue our original, broader purpose of eliminating tedious integration engineering work across industries. Our journey has roughly had 3 chapters: Chapter 1 — We chose to focus on commerce, and Alloy Automation became known as Zapier for brands Chapter 2 — Our integration partners asked if they could white label our tool, so we released our second product, Alloy Embedded, in May 2022. Alloy Automation became a commerce integrations platform with one product for business process automation and a second product for releasing user-facing integrations.
