When the minimum wage was introduced in 1999, for someone on full-time earnings it was around 22% of the higher rate tax threshold (£7,020:£32,355) . Today it is over 50% (£25,760: £50,270). This is not a liberal free-market economy, it is neosocialism

Why have a bunch of people on the left suddenly, seemingly out of nowhere, decided to start telling me I don’t have an ethnicity? What can they possibly hope to gain by this?
I simply said the strange belief in English ethicity was a racist evil

The murder of the Romanov children by the Bolsheviks was absolutely despicable. That George V didn’t offer his cousins refuge in Britain is a mistake that he probably felt profound sadness about considering how close he was to the Tsar.
Today is the 109th anniversary of one of the worst disasters to strike human civilisation. Lenin's Bolshevik putsch in Petrograd, which overthrew Russia's first democracy and began 70 years of murder, theft and persecution. Imperial Germany arranged this event and paid for it.

Why are the police letting this happen? Why do they keep arresting the bloke being beaten up?
Young Bob just got jumped by a group of violent leftists. If you are right wing stop going to debate left wingers unless you are willing or able to physically defend yourself. At least bring security. There’s no point in just allowing leftists to bash you

After the Battle of Hattin (1187), Raynald of Châtillon was brought before Saladin along with King Guy. Saladin offered Châtillon the choice of conversion to Islam or the sword saying, "your Christ has deceived you..." Raynald responded heroically and gave witness that "Christ deceives no man but that man is deceived who does not believe in him. I adore him, I confess him, I declare his name to you! If you believed in him, you would be able to escape the punishment of eternal damnation, which-doubt not!-has been prepared for you. But why are you delaying what you are about to do? I know that you thirst for nothing other than Christian blood!" At which point Saladin struck him with his scimitar. The exchange was reported by a contemporary and is included in Raymond Ibrahim's excellent book, Sword and Scimitar. It did not make it into Ridley Scott's Kingdom of Heaven, which seems to have generally removed the Christianity from its Christians. We're not to have heroism nor faith in our history, of course, we're to despise our ancestors while admiring those who decapitated them. And we're reaping the rewards of this big lie.

When Saladin took Jerusalem, he destroyed all the crosses, including the relic of the True Cross which the Muslims took in battle. They paraded them before Christians before destroying them, even urinating on some of them. He had 200-300 Christian Knights beheaded while he watched. He had 8000 women and children enslaved that day alone, including noble women and nuns forced into concubinage. Muslims enthusiastically described the deflowering and r*pe of the Christian women. Through his entire campaign it's estimated that 40-50k Christians were enslaved. This is what modern Hollywood films present us instead. Interfaith dialogue and a Saladin who respects the cross more than....the Crusaders. This is how you end up with CAIR endorsed candidates winning office. A population fed CAIR endorsed films like this one.

Actually nuts. Minimum standards for social housing are far too generous. The average social renter should not have more floor space guaranteed than a large proportion of private renters (as is the case in London, and increasingly many parts of the country).
Seems daft that Welsh social housing standards are so inflexible that housing associations are having to spend money turning homes they've purchased from 3 beds into 2 beds.

Want to know why the EU doesn’t have a tech sector? 👇 “they literally told me: hire two more female partners (impossible on the economics of a fund our size), or let one of the three of us go to make room for a quota hire.”
Here's some fuel for all the Europoor haters: Germany just told us we'd have to fire one of our 3 founders to qualify for funding. I was in talks with a German state-backed fund of fund managing billions, with one single mandate: invest in German funds to drive innovation and economic growth in the country. They literally told me they like us a lot and are also impressed by our track record and performance so far, and even though not everyone in their team is a fan of our thesis, they believe in it. But they passed for a whole different reason: Because our all-male team of 3 people isn't "diverse enough" lol. they literally told me: hire two more female partners (impossible on the economics of a fund our size), or let one of the three of us go to make room for a quota hire. do that, and they'd strongly consider investing. I won't even get into how discriminatory this is toward men in the first place. nobody takes that seriously anyway, and honestly I don't care. but what actually gets me is something bigger: as a German, I have to face the fact that the whole world continuing to laugh at Germany and overall Europe is completely justified. a system that quietly kills the smallest, hungriest teams, the exact ones this money was created to support. and then everyone acts surprised that talent and capital keep leaving the country.

It's absolutely shameful that so many leftists have joined Islamists in attacking an amazing young British Christian simply for exercising his freedom of expression. I, like many others, proudly stand with @YoungBobRB against these attacks. What has happened to Great Britain? The nation of Winston Churchill, who stood against tyranny when Europe was on its knees. The nation of William Shakespeare, whose words conquered the world without firing a shot. The nation of Isaac Newton, whose genius changed humanity's understanding of the universe. The nation of the Magna Carta, which helped lay the foundations of liberty and the rule of law. This is the Britain that gave the world courage, literature, science, parliamentary traditions, and the principle that freedom is worth defending. And now? The Muslim Brotherhood, whose Palestinian branch gave rise to Hamas, has networks and influence in Britain, while a young British Christian expressing his beliefs faces intimidation, hostility, and, at times, police intervention. How did a nation that stood alone against Nazi tyranny become a place where its own young people can feel abandoned for defending their beliefs? Britain did not survive the Blitz, defeat fascism, and defend its liberties across generations just to surrender its confidence to extremism and ideological intimidation. Where is the spirit of Churchill? Where is the courage of those who stood beneath the bombs and refused to surrender? Where is the pride of a civilization that taught generations that liberty comes with responsibility and courage? Great Britain was not built by people who surrendered to fear. It was built by people who refused to bow before it. @YoungBobRB, brother, from the other side of the world, know that you have family, friends, and people who admire your courage. Keep going. Keep speaking. Keep defending your freedoms, your Christian heritage, and the finest traditions of British civilization against extremism and backwardness. Never confuse the loudest voices with the soul of Britain. That soul still lives in those brave enough to defend its liberties. God bless you, and God bless Great Britain. 🇬🇧

The Church of England’s warning should be taken seriously. No legislation should place prayer, pastoral care or the ordinary expression of religious belief under the threat of criminal sanction. The state has no business policing the sincere practice of faith or dictating the boundaries of religious life. Criminalising prayer, restricting pastoral support and creating a climate in which religious teaching becomes legally precarious is a dangerous infringement on religious freedoms. This legislation must be challenged at every stage. We cannot allow an ideological agenda to acquire the force of criminal law at the expense of religious freedom, family life and the fundamental right to practise one's faith. It must be resisted, scrutinised and stopped.
The Church of England has warned that Labour’s proposed trans law risks criminalising prayer and pastoral support. Get this front page story here ⬇️ telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/11…

It's obvious to anyone with eyes who visits a kids' bookshop today that far fewer titles are targeted at boys. The puzzling thing about this article is how this could be "underrated", except following a concerted campaign of pretending not to understand when people point it out

The Bank Governor said private sector earnings growing at 3% was still a worry but the Bank did not concern itself with public sector earnings growing at 6.3%. Why not? Public sector earnings are pushing up inflation, private sector lagging inflation mean real wage cuts.

Women calling little boys "would-be incels" should be met with the same contempt and disgust as men calling little girls "future whores" or other sexualized insults. WILDLY inappropriate way to speak of children.
The first novel I ever loved was the survival classic Hatchet, but recently I’ve learned that a *lot* of women despise this book, and see it is as something they were forced to read in school to entice the idiot illiterate boys in their English class. I dove into that tension!

Totally memory holed including by the most pathological force in British politics for a century, the Tory Party. Moronic NPC Kemi-kasi described the Single Market as 'a free trade area' showing how her laziness and extreme uselessness means the entire Brexit debate for a decade passed her by in entirety. She was programmed by pre-2016 EU software and never got the NPC update patch. She was a clown minister who Sir Humphry easily tricked on everything they cared about - a perfect representative of the Tories for 30 years. She says the Boriswave happened because she and other Tory ministers "didn't notice" the numbers - DIRECT QUOTE!! No wonder 'morale has never been higher' in rancid Tory world and the Idiocracy tells you she's a serious character you shd trust. And if tempted to think Farage can turn things round... Remember, most voters have NO IDEA HOW MANY MILLIONS THE BORISWAVE WAS. SW1 has persuaded itself the public OVERestimate immigration but they massively UNDER estimate it. SW1 lives in a parallel world as always (and this is getting worse as the information ecosystem fragments, if you depend on Bluesky you wouldnt know 3rd generation migrants are torching France, youd think 'the real story' is white racism and it's 'smart politics for Burnham to rejoin without a referendum' etc). I described this in February and said - one simple goal for 'the right' is to communicate the numbers on the Boriswave, if you do this politics will change a lot. But 'the right' is such a farce the entire ecosystem has failed to do this ONE crucial thing. And you think they could deal with Sir Humphrey???! For 30 years, 'the right' has been total losers on campaigning and FOCUS. The Right is exactly like MPs generally: 100% inability to FOCUS on anything, 100% toddler attention span on whatever is leading 'the news'. Farage had one job. He failed. Escaping our nightmare requires new political leadership + new team + new campaign machine + new story facing the reality of our world and the reality of the electoral dynamics, info ecosystem etc. It is laughable to think Kemi-kasi or Farage could do this, they will both just bounce from studio to studio as pure NPCs... New blog explains, link below
Vote Leave argued in 2016 that letting EU regulate tech = dangerous. Barnier admits the obvious -- Brussels' vaccine debacle proved VL point -- & NB. without Brexit, UK wd have gone along with EU scheme without a whisper in SW1...

On behalf of the people of Blackburn, I had the honour of laying our Remembrance Tribute in Parliament’s Constituency Garden of Remembrance. We remember all those from Blackburn who gave their lives in service to our country, and honour all who made the ultimate sacrifice. Their courage and sacrifice must never be forgotten. Lest we forget.
