Correct number. British female voice. Text message to confirm. Really polished script.
โWeโve arrested someone who was using your identity to commit financial fraud. Your passport and drivers license was usedโฆ.โ
Invites me to come to the police station nearest to me to view the evidence.
โฆ thenโฆ Wants to confirm the crypto accounts that are genuine โฆ didnโt feel rightโฆ she puts me through to her Sargentโฆ British accentโฆ he starts asking for info about my โgenuine accountsโ โฆ I start asking questions and *click*
Did some searching and it seems to be a scam thatโs doing the rounds. AI voice alteration, cloned phone numbers etc. really sophisticated.
