One more thing about this: I'm proud of my celibacy. You have nooo idea what my life has been and why I've chosen that path. After the last hurtful breakup I had many years ago, I told myself never again unless we both love each other. I made that vow to myself and I have held to it. That's why I can laugh about it, and don't care if others laugh too. It was meant to be funny.

Underneath all the anxiety and other shit I deal with on a daily basis in my life, there's been a growing feeling of confidence in the months since I've moved here. Like my brain is starting to realize I'm not trapped in my own prison anymore. I'm not all the way out, but I can see the door open. That's the kind of hope that I have waited years for. So excuse me sometimes when I go off about something, because I've just had enough of people and their stupidity. Some even unfollow or block me eventually and that's fine. I don't need negative people in my life and I don't need anyone telling me I should say or do anything different. Am I supposed to be embarrassed by this? Not like I've hidden that I've been celibate that long. Yeah, she just kinda stopped talking after I said I wasn't gonna come out there toknight. It was all the way in Henderson during rush hour. So, just a few words on this and honestly, advice for others: Don't change your plans for someone you barely know. If they have the attitude of "it has to be right now, now or never" then make it never. If it can't be rescheduled or figured out another way, then the person isn't really interested anyway, and I'm not at someone's beck and call. This lady didn't even hit me up until almost 2 weeks after the fact, why would I drop everything and run out to see her? The old me definitely would have. It's nice to see I've grown a backbone and know that I'm worth more than that.
