Joe I know you're probably on the sauce already So I'll keep it simple so even you can understand. Lanterns didn't get anywhere close to the viewership of all three seasons of HOTD individually, AKOTSK, nor the later seasons of GOT when it was at it's peak viewership. Not even close. Claiming Lanterns is getting "Game of Thrones Numbers" is an over exaggeration. I get you want everybody to like what you like. And that's why you begged you're viewers to go see Supergirl. But Lanterns isn't Game of Thrones Level, except for the quality of their finales of course.

George Lucas was very independent. Looks like DLF & Filoni did not honor his views & stance.
Lucas went against traditional opening credits in 1977 by moving the main crew & director credits to the end of Star Wars (aka: A New Hope) to preserve the dramatic opening crawl.
When he did the same for The Empire Strikes Back in 1980, the Directors Guild of America (DGA) objected because the director's name did not appear at the start of the film. The guild fined him $250,000 & tried to block the movie's release. Lucas paid the fine out of his own pocket then resigned from the DGA, WGA, & MPAA in protest.
