I really wanted to reread Mind Bomb and unfortunately it's absolutely Carnage's best story lol Cletus is the embodiment of all the violence and abuse he suffered while growing up. It's the only form of love he has ever received. It's the only way he found to be in control...

...of his own suffering. Nothing else in Kasady's life was as prominent and made as much sense as violence. Killing is what his life has amounted to. It's his coping mechanism and his reason to live. It's the only act that has ever "protected" Cletus when he was a child. (+)

It's always impressive to me that the two best Carnage stories have literally no mention of Spider-Man or Venom. The most interesting he has ever been is as a concise character study because the formula of the character kinda requires that to be the case. He needs to mask it all

Kyle Hotz's take on Carnage is lowkey the definitive version of the character

Thinking about Scott Snyder and Capullo on Hulk and Morrison on Moon Knight

Do you guys think the alternate universe where DC writers work at marvel and vice versa is arguably a better world or

Eddie's shape-shifting ability is the coolest and most underutilized power that Venom has. Imagine if during his early villain years he started to disguise himself as Mary Jane or Aunt May just to fuck with Peter. It's his most stalkerish power but people don't use it!!

Dylan's conception is always so insane to think about and I feel like you could pinpoint so many different moments where it happened. Hama writing that Ann would want Venom back because she had a "taste" though 馃槵馃槵馃槵. Horrible implications

"Matt reeves is stopping Batman from being in the DCU and keeping the character isolated to an excellent standalone franchise"
f4 hype g@Fantastic4HypeGOct 25
You all won鈥檛 admit it, but I will. Matt Reeves hogging the Batman character and taking 7 years to release a fucking Batman movie is costing the DCU鈥檚 success It鈥檚 hard for general audiences to care about fucking Clayface when he can鈥檛 even fight Batman. Reeves is stingy af.

It's really frustrating that barely anyone has ever decided to tackle what this molecular bond meant for the characters from this point and on. In future stories both Brock and The Other could still detach from each other normally which is kinda lame to think about

I think this is still the best explanation on the symbiote race that we ever got in the books The explanation that they're addicted to strong emotions that are produced by their hosts is also interesting to this day because it justifies why it allowed Eddie to be more violent

A curious thing about the current audience of people who only read comics through physical trades is that 90% of them will have the same selection pool of favorites and they're often just Batman stuff

Also for some reason it's very common for this type of comic reader to have an echo chamber that agrees TDKR and/or Watchmen are overrated which is hilarious
