It's hilarious, and understandable, to see so many City fans in this state of denial about the £1bn of sham payments they received. I would be gutted too if it was my club but they'll soon accept reality and realise how their owners have ruined their legacy.

As discussed earlier, #MCFC's appeal hinges on the premise the AD Government not their ownership covered sponsorship of around £830m (on top of almost £120m of non-disputed sponsorship), which the panel call “sham” commercial payments. #MCFC argue witnesses, wire transfers and bank statements show otherwise, as alluded to in Ferran Soriano's video to club staff. Panel’s view is this argument was “concocted well after the event”.
