Sena Nagamoto has Nilufar Raimova in the semis. Nagamoto is a big favorite here - expect Helen Maroulis to be pulled back into repechage. Anastasiya Alpyeyeva has Kadriye Kocak Aksoy who's coming up from 65 kg. Feel pretty good about Alpyeyeva here to pull Guilford into repechage. 🤞🤞

Hearing the eyepoke ruptured Smirnova's eye. Likely heading to the hospital and won't be wrestling out the tournament. Unfortunate, but if that's the case, Morgan Turner's tournament is over.

Morgan Turner DQ'd for the eye poke. Definitely deserved a caution but don't think I've ever seen the doctor call a match like that...

Women’s freestyle starts today!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Here are my notes on USA's women's freestyle draws...i know they're messy

Xavier Johnson and Otto Black have been pulled into repechage. I doubt we'll see Johnson wrestle - he injury defaulted in his match today. Otto Black will have to win two matches to make the bronze medal match - one of those is against Luis Orta (Olympic and World champ).

The number of challenges at Worlds in Greco has been insane. Too many at the end of the match when there's clearly nothing to challenge.

UPDATE: Max Nowry has been pulled into repechage. Joel Adams has been eliminated. Nowry will have Lalit from India to make the bronze medal match. I think that's a very winnable match for Nowry 🤞🤞
