Our thoughts are with the families who have lost loved ones. We wish all those injured a swift and full recovery.
The Republic of Kosova stands in solidarity with Poland in this moment of grief.

At today’s Berlin Process Summit, I spoke with Chancellor Friedrich Merz about our shared European future.
Kosova has fully implemented all Berlin Process agreements, others must do the same. With over €1.5bn in German investment and a vibrant Kosovar diaspora strengthening the ties between our countries, Germany remains a key partner for our future in Europe.

Firmly anchoring the Western Balkans in the EU is essential to our shared security.
At @WarsawForum, I had a warm and substantive exchange with Estonian FM @Tsahkna on advancing the Republic of Kosova’s EU integration and addressing the security challenges facing our country and the region, including those linked to Serbia and Russia’s growing use of hybrid tactics.
We also explored ways to further deepen the already strong relations and cooperation between 🇽🇰 and 🇪🇪.

Serbia’s renewed territorial ambitions against the Republic of Kosova were laid bare once again this week when its Deputy PM, Ivica Dacic, declared at an election rally that the Serbian flag would “sooner or later fly over Prizren”, a city in southern Kosova. Such rhetoric reveals that Belgrade’s territorial ambitions are far from a thing of the past.
Just two days later, Milan Radoicic, wanted by Interpol over the Banjska terrorist attack he organized, appeared alongside Danilo Vucic at Aleksandar Vucic’s party rally in Kragujevac, where Vucic once again threatened the independence of the Republic of Kosova.
These are not isolated provocations. They expose the continuity of a dangerous political doctrine: territorial expansionism in rhetoric, and impunity for armed aggression in practice.
Serbia cannot claim to pursue peace and European integration while its senior officials openly challenge the sovereignty of the Republic of Kosova and the admitted organizer of the deadly Banjska terrorist attack remains at liberty, appearing publicly alongside the president’s family instead of facing justice.
The international community must unequivocally condemn these actions and demand accountability. The sovereignty of the Republic of Kosova is not negotiable, and neither is justice for the Banjska terrorist attack.

It was an honor to meet President of the United States @realDonaldTrump for the first time during #UNGA81 High-Level Week. I thanked President Trump for his successful push for increased defense spending among the member states of NATO, which Kosova should join as well. The United States is a chief ally, indispensable partner, and special friend of the Republic of Kosova. 🇽🇰🤝🇺🇸

Welcome back to Prishtina, @vonderleyen. Six visits in six years, and through every challenge you never missed one. Thank you!
Since we first met, Kosova has delivered steady progress. Independent evaluators confirm our gains in democracy, rule of law, security and the fight against corruption. The Commission's own reports show no backsliding in any policy area. We are fully aligned with EU foreign policy, including every sanction against Russia, and we uphold the values of Article 2 of the Treaty on European Union.
By every measure, Kosova is freer, fairer, safer, more just and more prosperous than when we first met.
In December it will be four years since Kosova applied for EU membership. It is long overdue for the EU to deliver.

At the @BerlinProcessWB FM’s Meeting in 🇲🇪, hosted by DPM & FM @ErvinIbrahimov1, alongside 🇩🇪 FM @JoWadephul, 🇪🇺 Commissioner @MartaKosEU and colleagues from across the region, my message was clear:
Regional cooperation must guarantee equal treatment for all WB6 partners, deliver on every commitment and protect the rights of every community. The same standard must apply to Albanians in the Presheva Valley, who continue to face address passivisation, obstacles to diploma recognition and underrepresentation in state institutions. There can be no double standards.
The Republic of Kosova is ready to advance on a merit-based European path, with progress judged by results. The progress we have made should now be reflected in concrete movement towards candidate status and the opening of accession negotiations.

1/5 In the late afternoon on Wednesday, the Serbian President held a speech at the UN, the very organization whose admission of Kosova Russia continues to veto. He spoke about peace as part of Serbia’s identity, portraying Serbia as a victim of NATO and as a non-aggressor.

Concluded the trip to New York with a working lunch with Western Balkan leaders, hosted by EU High Representative @kajakallas.
Kosova has demonstrated clear progress on reforms, with advancements in 35 areas, no backsliding in any, and no progress in only three. We also maintain full alignment with the EU's Common Foreign and Security Policy. This alignment is not simply symbolic, it reflects Kosova's clear strategic orientation and resilience against malign influence at a time of heightened geopolitical uncertainty.
Rising tensions in the region come from Russian proxies, authoritarian leaders, asymmetric minority community rights, and the failure to face past crimes committed during the war.
Now it is time for Kosova to be granted EU candidate status. Advancing the process would provide further impetus to reforms in the rule of law and public administration, the judiciary, and the fight against corruption. Kosova remains a devoted and unequivocally European partner, ready to contribute fully to our continent's shared future.

In New York, I met with the United Kingdom’s Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, Dame Karen Pierce, and welcomed her continued engagement in our region.
We discussed political and security developments and the Euro-Atlantic future of the Republic of Kosova. I expressed deep concern over the first-instance judgment against former KLA leaders and emphasized that the Government is now focused on the appeals process and the need for a coordinated and comprehensive strategy.
I welcomed the UK Government’s strong support for Kosova’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, and its explicitly expressed pride in the role it played alongside NATO Allies in preventing a humanitarian catastrophe in 1999 and supporting our independence in 2008.
I also raised the continued discrimination against Albanians in the Presheva Valley, including their underrepresentation in public institutions and the ongoing passivization of addresses.
We also discussed Kosova’s aspirations for NATO and Council of Europe membership, as well as deserved EU candidate status.

During the High-Level Week of #UNGA81 in New York, I met with 🇳🇱 FM Tom Berendsen (@ministerBZ).
A central part of our discussion was the recent first-instance judgment against the four KLA leaders, Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi.
I conveyed the profound dissatisfaction in Kosova over the judgment and the severe sentences imposed, and underlined our position that this represents a serious injustice that must be addressed through the appeals process.
We also discussed bilateral relations and other issues of shared interest.
