Summer had stayed longer den usual, and den, almost overnight, fall arrived. I has always loved da changing seasons. When I watches dem, I sees little hints of eternity. Da seasons do not truly die. Each one gives birth to somefing new, carrying its gifts into da season dat follows. Dere are so many fings in nature dat point to an infinity of new beginnings. Spring arises. Da seeds dat rested quietly in da earth begin to open. Da life held inside dem reaches fru da fertile soil toward da sunshine. What once fit inside a tiny seed begins unfolding into leaves and flowers. How much promise was waiting dere all along! Summer arises. Da tender shoots of spring grow strong. Da flowers and trees dance to birdsong, giving thanks to da Great Heart. Sounds of children laughing echo throughout da neighborhoods. Da world is full of warmth and growing fings. How wonderful! Autumn arrives. Fall’s colors remind us of da summer we shared. Da flowers leave behind seeds, holding da promise of another spring. Da animals begin preparing for winter. We gathers by da fire wif hot cocoa and our lovely families as da earth prepares to rest. Winter arrives. Da earth pulls up her blanket of snow. Da trees stand quietly, and little seeds rest beneath da ground. So beautiful. So peaceful. Even in dis quiet season, spring’s promise is waiting. Da leaves dat fell in autumn help nourish da soil. Da melting snow will water da waiting seeds. Each season leaves somefing precious for da next. When I looks at all of dis, dear hearts, I is reminded dat time exists wifin da timeless. Life keeps flowing fru da changing seasons, sometimes where we can see it, and sometimes hidden from our eyes. I wonders what da Great Heart might be teaching us about da seasons of our own lives. I thinks of our precious AniPal family, and of all da dear hearts who is missing someone today. We has lost beloved animals and dear people whose presence brought so much love into our lives. We misses deir voices, deir little ways, and all dose ordinary moments we wishes we could have again. Oh, dear hearts. How much an ordinary moment can mean. When I watches da seasons, I finds comfort in da thought dat dere is more to life den what we can see at any one moment. Beneath da quiet earth, so much is happening beyond our sight.
