I've been sitting on tons of time lapse clips from the last few years so I figured it was finally time to do something with them. I present my compilation film from the 2018 and 2019 monsoon seasons. Hope you enjoy! #azwx #stormhour

In the early morning of August 31, a line of thunderstorms moved over the Grand Canyon. I managed to capture this bolt that powered through the heavy rain and landed inside the canyon. #azwx
A few shots from the supercell that moved through Phoenix this afternoon. #azwx

Absolutely floored to capture this tonight. The storm was pretty much done and this was likely a clear air death bolt but good grief what a doozy of a burst of electricity. Always wanted landing points on Picacho Peak but this was something else. #azwx

10 years!! I've been trying to get landing points on Picacho Peak for over 10 years. And tonight it finally happened. Most of the night was spent getting little stick bolts and flashes buried back in the rain, but one strike definitely came out to play!!

It took a decade of patiently waiting but on Friday night, in a fraction of a second, the Grand Canyon delivered a real-life version of a dream image I’ve had since the day I started photographing the monsoon.
Two shots from the rain shower we were shooting near Santa Rosa, Arizona last Saturday. Might be the saddest looking storm I’ve ever gotten bolts out of.
Haboob approaching downtown a few minutes ago. #azwx – at Phoenix, AZ
