To remember things you read, don't reread or highlight. Instead:
(1) Consolidate: take a 10-minute break in a quiet place
(2) Quiz yourself: test your recall and identify gaps
(3) Share: make it stick by teaching someone else about it

While the situation in metros is different, in most tier 3, 4 & 5 towns (bulk of India), where we work, multi-cultural & multi-language is not the issue. It is the gap between mother tongue and medium of instruction - English. – at Mumbai, India

Private schools do what Govt schools have not been able to. Encouraging them and improving Govt schools - both are needed. We need more good schools, not shackle the existing good ones. amp.economist.com/leaders/20…

It might sound too good to be true but this is exactly what we've been implementing in affordable private schools. 75,000 students. Results. Couldn't agree more.

This is merely a delaying tactic till students learn English. Higher education is in English, remember! So why not equip students from a young age by teaching them English the way it should be learnt? Then they can learn any subject in English. We are doing it at @LEADschool2
In English-medium schools, children are often being taught in a language they don't understand by teachers who aren't fluent in that language econ.st/2STvWKS
