Can we please stop with the whole "summative assessment is like an autopsy" narrative? Reassessment, longitudinal skills that reoccur throughout the year/semester, and critical 21C competencies all render this narrative obsolete & tired. #ATAssessment #GFIO #sblchat

When you have 20 people (parents, teachers, followers) saying positive things & 1 person saying negative, if you focus on the negative, then you are saying that person’s opinion is more important than the other 20. Don’t get wrapped up with negative people.

One of the most important things you can do is stop and see what ideas your students have in their heads @CTSKeeley is so right! #rockwallelemsci #dfwminicast – at Bedford, TX

Step back and really listen to your students so THEIR thinking becomes visible. We talk too much, they need to be the ones thinking and talking. @CTSKeeley #rockwallelemsci #dfwminicast – at Bedford, TX

Coaches often need to slow down and listen effectively.I believe, often the desire to be “helpful” has one looking for a solution or an improvement to move toward, thus missing hearing things that are important to the coachee. Creating an understanding gap. barkleypd.com/blog/confirmat…
