BREAKING: A federal judge just ruled that Biden can move forward with its student loan forgiveness plan, clearing the way for relief for over 25 million Americans.
•The decision allows a temporary restraining order blocking the discharge of student loan debt to expire, enabling the administration to implement its plan.
•The ruling is a significant win for the Biden administration, which has faced legal challenges in its efforts to alleviate federal student loan debt.
•The case was brought by seven Republican-led states — Missouri, Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, North Dakota, and Ohio — which argued that the administration was exceeding its authority by attempting to forgive loans before the rule was in effect.
