Today, @NASA provided updates on the progress of its Artemis III mission next year, and to return astronauts to the lunar surface in 2028. Our teams are accelerating Orion spacecraft production to support these missions. The heat shield for Orion Artemis IV already has its 186 tiles installed, ahead of previous schedules.

Fission power is key to the future of deep-space exploration. 🚀 We're investing our own R&D into advancing this technology and applaud @NASA and @ENERGY's new agreement to accelerate space nuclear power and propulsion.
We’re getting America underway on nuclear power in space and ushering in the era of a Nuclear NASA. With the signing of an MOU with @ENERGY, we’re taking the next giant leap toward exploring the outer solar system and sending American astronauts to Mars. Fission power will help us travel farther, operate longer, and power more capable scientific instruments.

Commanders have seconds to react when a threat emerges, and no single sensor or interceptor can act alone. The nation's Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD) architecture links air, land, sea and space systems to give warfighters the decision advantage when seconds count.
