Been tough looking at the buildings around us every day that are burned shells of what they once were. And we knew many of the people that worked there, which makes it worse. 😥 That is our building in the background of Chase Bank at the start of the video, with the blue awnings.

It's been a surreal time for me since Saturday. Rioting, burning & looting by my office 😳 Buildings are boarded up & the curfew has been extended to Monday. But the best part, is how the community has pulled together, cleaning up & protecting each others property! #LaMesaStrong

The Director of Emergency and Disaster ordered a City-wide curfew for all Citizens of and visitors to La Mesa commencing on May 31st at 7:00pm and ending at 7:00am on June 1. Citizens of La Mesa are encouraged to shelter in place (in a safe environment) for their personal safety.
