Police departments draw inspiration from many different sources. For the NYPD, Peter Farley is one of them. He overcame challenges that could have held many back. Peter pushed a mail cart in 1 Police Plaza for close to half a century and brought a smile to everyone he met — generations of cops and civilian professionals. I was lucky enough to be one of them. Rest In Peace, Peter.
