Clemson should lawyer up. The move is: 1️⃣ Put LSU, the SEC and NCAA on formal notice that Clemson disputes the eligibility of any former NFL players. 2️⃣ Seek to intervene in the Louisiana case. 3️⃣ Ask for emergency declaratory/injunctive relief before kickoff. 4️⃣ Argue that Clemson’s contract requires the game to be played under NCAA and applicable conference eligibility rules; not a special LSU-only exception created by a TRO. 5️⃣ If relief is denied, play under protest and preserve every contractual claim. This is not about whining that LSU has better players. It’s about whether a Louisiana court order can effectively force Clemson to compete under eligibility rules Clemson itself is prohibited from using. Make them defend that in court before Saturday.
