BREAKING: Liberal Candidates husband has been bashed after confronting a person tearing down his wife’s election campaign posters.
Victoria Police said a 59-year-old Mernda man has been charged with reckless cause injury, criminal damage and unlawful assault.
“The charges follow an alleged assault in the vicinity of Abundant Avenue and Bridge Inn Road on 25 October about 2pm,” the statement said.

His net satisfaction rating has fallen to minus-24, a significant drop from when he left office.
The polling numbers highlight deep divisions:
70% of voters aged 50+ express dissatisfaction with his performance.
