Cumbie: Officials have a hard job. This is a fast game, and those calls have to be made in a split second. There is some accountability through an internal grading system that isn't made public. I think the pressure from the public is louder than ever.

Cumbie: South Alabama is the best rushing team in our conference. Those two backs don't need much, if they find a crease they can go. Tight ends play very well, and they run a lot of RPO, so the receivers have a high yards per catch average.

Cumbie: Our guys are aware of the opportunity vs South Alabama this week, and what's at stake. Our focus however is on the task at hand, which is Tuesday's practice.

Film study pays off. Baker recognizes the Cover 2 man and probably knows from film they will play high/low safeties. Baker changes the play and moves the bunch. Wilkerson creates traffic and Mickens’ guy has no chance vs his speed. The OL handles the stunt and Baker has all day.

On this play, the TEs Finley and Bockler are lined up to the right of the FG support and drive their guys all the way to the left side of the upright, Burnette’s guy wanted no part of him, and look at that footwork from Cole (#79) as he pulls for the key block! Made it look easy.
