10月24日、つくば市内の茨城県立並木中等教育学校において、第1回目となる「筑波大学地域連携タウンミーティング」を開催しました。今回は、保護者・生徒の皆様44名の参加のもと、『大学・産業界と考える「博士」の未来 ～予測困難な時代を切り拓く博士人材の価値創造力とは～』をテーマに意見交換を行いました。

著者らは、査読にAIを追加し、AIをbounded（役割を限定した）、non-voting（投票権を持たない）、secure（安全な）、auditable（監査可能な）ツールとして運用することを提案している。AIは科学者を置き換えるのではなく、追加的な「Reviewer 4」として機能するという考え方を示している。

世界的な働き手不足の中で、学歴や職歴より能力重視で人を採る傾向が強まっている。経済協力開発機構（OECD）の政策アナリスト、加藤静香氏は大学などの高等教育機関は役割の再定義が必要だと指摘する。大学の学位は長らく、個人の能力を証明し「良い仕事」への扉を開くパスポートの役割を果たしてきた。実際、経済協力開発機構（OECD）加盟国全体でみると、大卒者は非大卒者に比べて就業率が高く、賃金水準も高い。
