So now that it’s just you and your paradise, furnish it to your taste.

My mum does this all the time. She’ll visit, see my clothes or something new I’ve bought and ask, “What are you doing with all these things? Is this how you’ll carry everything to your husband’s house?” 😂
Sometimes, I look around my apartment and ask myself the same question.
But honestly, I’ve come to realise that being single shouldn’t mean putting your comfort or happiness on hold. Buy the things you love, make your space comfortable and enjoy this phase of your life. You’re living now, not just preparing for marriage. 😂
Remembering when I was single 🤭
I got my apartment, furnished it to my taste, bought things!!
Freezer, generator, everything!
2 years later my husband came 😂😂
I got married and it was time to move to his house.
Problem now was, his house was furnished to taste already.
All my own things nko?😭😭
Had to declutter and sell some.
Some I took to his house and kept in the visitor’s room.
Felt like a waste honestly.
But were the items worth it when I got them? Did they make my spinsterhood comfy? Yes. Absolutely.
