I kind of view riggy lore as two bubbles, his past lore, and his modern lore, and the bubbles sometimes overlap. The problem is that it’s going to be a long time before toon turf is able to catch up to the modern lore, and so for awhile I’ve felt unsatisfied with what I’d be able to give without ruining the balance of both. So anyway, the b-day short is the biggest dumping pile of puzzle pieces I’ll ever give on the DCD channel lol. if sorted out it can actually answer a lot of the modern day riggy threads that (otherwise) won’t be expanded on until late-game toon turf. The machine WAS originally meant to be a one-off gimmick, but earlier this year I realized I could use it one more time in a personally extremely satisfying way, where I finally feel like I’ve given enough hints toward riggy’s modern story to actually be figured out. I was a little worried it would be frustrating, but my test audience (layah and ponyo) said what I did was good after I explained what everything was supposed to mean lol. and no, there are no animation errors in this short, I promise. anyway, thanks for the patience and support. my body hates me for what I’ve done to it this week lmao, need to sort out a healthier way of living bc this shit ain’t it pfff. love you always 💙
