The family has been displaced more than seven times, moving from Beit Hanoun to Rafah, Deir al-Balah, and Khan Younis before returning to find their home completely destroyed. They are now living in a damaged room covered with tarpaulin and share a small living space with other families, paying $250 a month in rent. With no soup kitchen available in their area, they must buy all their food and other essentials, despite the fact that everyone in the family is unemployed and they rely on donations to get by. Mohammed and Mira both hope to continue their university studies, in pharmacy and engineering respectively, but financial difficulties and the ongoing danger have made it difficult to continue their education. Their younger siblings are registered in school, but because it is not always safe to attend classes, the family also needs to pay for private tutoring to help them keep up with their studies. They have lost their home and much of their stability, and they now need support with food, clean water, shelter, and education while trying to find a way to leave Gaza safely.
