Creatine is naturally found in beef, fish and meat. Creatine improves numerous physical and health factors, including strength, power, sprint ability, muscular endurance, resistance to fatigue, muscle mass, recovery, cognition, and rate of muscle growth. Creatine also reduces the risk of injury and supports brain health. Creatine is one of the most widely studied supplements and proven performance enhancers available. You’d have to consume 2-4 lbs of meat to attain the equivalent of 5 g of creatine in a supplement. This 👇is not true and there’s zero evidence to support the claim that creatine causes soft tissue injuries. Creatine actually helps reduce the risk of injury and supports recovery. nutritionwithwendi.com/blog/…
All soft tissue injuries among athletes come from creatine and pre-workout. Stop taking them and stop letting people fool you into thinking you need them. Humans weren’t meant to take man made supplements.

How long should young pitchers rest after fall baseball: Pitch Smart says at least four months off competitive pitching each year for ages 15-18. Dads, count every throw, lessons included, and put the shutdown on the calendar now before winter starts.

Never heard of these cleats so I googled it. “Caddix cleats are specialized athletic footwear designed with patented SmartStuds™ technology to reduce non-contact knee and ankle injuries—such as ACL tears—by minimizing excessive rotational torque on turf and grass fields” They are kinda ugly but sounds like a great concept if they work. The CEO said he would pay his fine. NFL do better. - cream
Caleb Williams was fined by the NFL over $11K for his Caddix cleats he wore against the Atlanta Falcons for being in violation of the NFL Uniform and Equipment Rules. 📸: Getty

Bilateral Deficit is real Your 600 pound squat alone will NOT translate to single leg strength Unilateral strength is it's own skill that must be trained separately Train both BL and UL weekly with equal attention I learned this the hard way...

SWEEP THE SHEDS. One of my favorite lessons from the New Zealand All Blacks. No one is too important to do the little things. No job is beneath you. Great teams are built on humility, ownership, and service. Culture WINS 2 on Amazon👇 amazon.com/dp/B0C1J9CTVQ

Greatness isn’t built by wishful thinking. It is crafted by what we do every day. It’s not so much the outcomes that decide your future, but the habits you live out when nobody’s watching. Stack up good choices, day after day, and the wins will follow. Own your habits, and greatness will find you.

Productive Training doesn’t leave athletes exhausted or sore. Because the neurological and structural changes we seek to improve performance are actually impaired by excessive fatigue due to them needing frequent exposure. Fatigue is a bottleneck for performance improvement.

Gotta love @GatorsFB S&C Coach Rusty Whitt emphasizing individual speed vs the traditional lifts in football. Speed is one of the most disruptive forces in football across multiple dimensions. It fundamentally changes how opposing coaches scheme, how defenders position themselves, and how quickly a game's momentum can shift.

The amount of kids over conditioning through training is enormous. All that extra effort / work takes away from being: -Fresh -Fast -Extra speed work/lifts etc.. -Extra skill work if needed The goal is not zero conditioning, but if you're playing a sport 3+ times a wk, and have been at a high level, in most cases... that bucket is full.
Playing the Sport IS the conditioning. It’s not gassers, laps, poles, hills, etc. The S&C Program develops general and transferable Athletic qualities. The Sport conditions the athlete for the specific demands.

Strength is 🔑 but speed 🔓unlocks athleticism! Tracking bar velocity utilizing VBT to assist with enhancing speed is vital. There is a time for maxing out, but it’s not the end all be all… GPS lets us manage each athlete’s workload individually instead of guessing who’s tired. Faster reps, more muscle, higher neural drive. The data informs who needs rest or more reps!

When soccer load increases drastically, it's critical to NOT STOP strength (and speed training!) for health and performance of the athlete ❤ This is exactly why women's college soccer teams 🏋️‍♀️ lift in-season 1-2x a week. It's mandatory. Let's get youth ⚽️ girls doing the same under a progressed program.

FACT: Sleep more = less injuries Prospective study of adolescent athletes (average age ~15) Those averaging less than 8 hours of sleep per night were 1.7 times more likely to sustain a sports injury than those sleeping more than 8 hours. - Milewski et al. (2014)

Not sure who needs to hear this today, but if you are a college athlete, no matter the level or division, you are part of the 10-12%. That is a great achievement, and you should be extremely proud. Your university/college, your coaches, and your teammates are worthy of your best effort every day. You will be a former college athlete for many decades. You will be a current college athlete for 4 or 5 years! Make them count!
