Dear Hon. @HEBobiwine There is no longer any need for you to continue with these campaigns or lead your supporters toward the January polls. The violence and brutality you have personally endured are clear indicators of what awaits you and the people standing with you. Your safety and the safety of millions who believe in you cannot be gambled with in an election whose outcome is already predetermined. If a regime cannot allow you the basic right to speak to the citizens, how confident can you be that it will allow those same citizens to vote freely, let alone count and announce the real results? When a government blocks people from listening and choosing the candidate they want, what guarantee is there that it will respect their ballot? The most strategic step now is to withdraw from this sham process and deny Mr. @KagutaMuseveni the legitimacy he desperately seeks. Let him proceed with the very candidates he sponsors to confuse and disorganize the race. You owe him no participation in an election designed only to rubber stamp his continued stay in power. Ugandans and the international community already know who he is,a dictator, a violator of human rights, a man who no longer carries any shame for the suffering he inflicts. There is nothing more you can do to “expose” him; the world has seen enough. Look at Tanzania,the people united, rejected a fraudulent process, and denied President @SuluhuSamia the legitimacy she was seeking. Today, many across the world question the credibility of that election, and the victory remains widely unrecognized. Ugandans can do the same. Deny Museveni the credibility he counts on. Without your participation, his façade of democracy collapses instantly. I know that the selfish individuals around you in the @NUP_Ug ,those who are desperate for parliamentary seats and other small positions will oppose taking this path because they see it as a personal loss. Their ambitions should not outweigh the broader national interest or the long term struggle for genuine change. What Uganda needs now is unity, strategy, and constitutional pressure, not participation in a rigged process. Redirect your strength, your resources, and your voice to organizing the country toward a lawful, people driven transition. Continuing with campaigns only drains energy you will urgently need in the near future and keeps you trapped in an electoral theatre whose results are already written. The only path to real change is for all democratic forces to join together and push as one. That unity is what will finally remove him from power and open the door to the Uganda our people have suffered too long waiting for.
