COVID-19 cases are rising and winter is drawing closer.
1) If you have not been vaccinated, now is the time.
2) If you are offered a booster please take up the offer.
3) Ventilation, masks in crowded indoor spaces and hand washing remain important.

COVID-19 is dangerous for pregnant women and their babies. The medical advice is clear: it is much safer to be vaccinated against COVID than get COVID if you are pregnant or may become pregnant. Please get vaccinated and support people you know who are pregnant to be vaccinated.
New data shows that 17% of the most critically ill COVID-19 patients are pregnant women who have not been vaccinated. We are supporting calls from @NHSย and encouraging pregnant women to get the #COVID-19 vaccine. Find out more here: fal.cn/3iWwB

This was a herculean effort for all involved and we are so proud to have been part of this.
PRC Blackpool and @LaytonMedical have now closed recruitment for the phase 3 Novavax Covid-19 Vaccine study. We have had a total of 638 volunteers and want to thank everyone who has been involved and given their time to volunteer for this study. Thank you ๐๐
@NIHRCRN_nwcoast
So proud to have been part of this huge collective national effort alongside our colleagues at @PRCBlackpool @angie_r_parker. Weโre beyond proud of our Principal Investigator @DrRebeccaClark and the effort of all the team.
Proof that you donโt need hundreds of people or large hospital trusts to recruit for large scale studies. This team of dedicated, wonderful NHS staff has now randomised 638 people to the @Novavax Phase 3 vaccine study and weโre not stopping there. #nextstop650
