Halloween is this weekend, and we want everyone to have a fun and safe time while trick-or-treating! Here are a few reminders before heading out:
👮♀️ Stick Together: Trick-or-treat in groups, stay with your family or trusted adults, and keep an eye on one another.
🚫 Do Not Enter Homes or Vehicles: Avoid entering any unknown homes or vehicles, regardless of how tempting the candy may be!
👻 Be Visible: Wear bright or reflective clothing when possible. If your costume is dark, carry a flashlight or use glow sticks to help drivers see you.
🚶 Use Sidewalks and Crosswalks: Stick to sidewalks whenever possible and use crosswalks when crossing the street. Look both ways and stay alert.
🚙 Drive Cautiously: Drivers, slow down in residential areas and watch carefully for children who may be excited and focused on collecting candy.
🍬 Check Those Treats: Make sure to inspect your (or your child’s) candy before digging in. Throw away anything that appears opened, damaged, or suspicious.
Have fun, stay safe, and enjoy all the Halloween fun!
Our officers will be out patrolling neighborhoods, handing out candy, and checking on trick-or-treaters throughout the weekend.
If you see something suspicious (or spooky) don’t hesitate to give us a call.
🎃 Happy Halloween, Lebanon! 👻
