1. According to a heartbreaking study just published in Nature, anti-transgender laws, including healthcare bans, have increased suicide attempts by up to 72% in states passing such legislation.
The study is the first of its kind.

1. 22 Republican AGs have sent a letter to the American Academy of Pediatricians.
They threaten that endorsing trans care as beneficial may be illegal, and demands extensive internal docs.

Yesterday Texas quietly removed the option for trans people to change their birth certificates at all and it was only learned about and reported today. Once again, done quietly, without any reporting or hearing or anything. To say that I’m gutted would be an understatement

1. Transgender adults in Florida are now receiving emails that they are being cut off of their gender affirming care.
This follows a court ruling from the 11th Circuit allowing restrictions on trans youth and adults to go back into effect.

Trans Texans can no longer change their gender marker on their ID. The new policy just came down. This is yet another attack on transgender Americans by the right wing. Link to the story below 👇
Walking around looking like one gender & then having a different gender on your ID can be a humiliating experience. Further, it can be dangerous as it outs you every time you have to show your ID.

Horrifying news out of Texas. It appears that Texas will no longer allow drivers license gender marker changes, and those who attempt to will have their information collected.
They appear to state they will even ignore court orders.

Texas is the latest. Similar actions are ognoing in Missouri and Montana.
Texas even says it will ignore court orders.

Trump has picked the primary sponsor of a national ban on trans care, done through a ban on teaching about gender affirming care in higher education (including medical schools), JD Vance as the vice president.
He also would institute a national youth care ban.

For the first time, a change in national risk has occurred. National risk for trans youth is now High.
