I finished playing at 32 but really I was done at 24. From then on I was picking up my money each week. I still see so many good young players lost in non league as there isn’t many places for them to go and be trusted. This is why I struggle badly seeing teams and bad coaches
Played against Dean when he was at Peterborough then met him after football years later many times. An incredible story and a great human.
Dean Hooper signed for Swindon in 1995 & later played for Peterborough. We were teammates & recently met up for the first time in 25 years.
Except now it turns out I never really knew him in the first place. None of us did.
Dean’s story is extraordinary:

This ain’t good but this doesn’t effect Peps legacy in football and what he’s done for the game.
As I said before - artificial is no good for this level or higher. The surface won’t accommodate the movements and intensity of players. Should have been ripped up years ago. 4G is great but up to a level.
CLUB STATEMENT | Harry Forster 🍃
Regretfully, we can confirm that Harry Forster suffered an injury in training last week, which has since been diagnosed as a full ACL rupture, partial MCL tear and meniscus rupture, ruling him out for the remainder of the season.
Everybody at the club’s thoughts are with Harry, and we will continue to support him throughout every step of his recovery.
Further information will be provided on Wednesday as part of our weekly medical update.
