“Being a queer person in this world is a vulnerable position, and it can feel isolating; at least, it did for me when I first heard their music as a teenager. And Los Campesinos! gave me something I could hold onto”
Incredibly moved by this piece, thank you 🏳️🌈🖤🏳️⚧️
For a group that came up during the late 2000s, @LosCampesinos presented a vision of the underground that was surprisingly queer. From the beginning, their music offered a way for queer listeners to project themselves into it.

very good read into the complex history of cybergrind & how it got to where it is today :))))
"I sit here, fully entrenched in the genre’s history as one of the cybergrind elders. Now, I’m ready to write about the history of a genre that, in many ways, changed the entire course of my life."

Alright fr y'all, something weird is going on. Every time I play music this pops up on my screen and basically bricks my desktop. I know it sounds weird...but I'm kinda scared. It just keeps flashing " USER PLEASURE GUARANTEED OUT 1/26" I think I'm being brainwashed. Pls help me

"The experience of listening to [enchanted forest's latest album] Semele’s Tryst is like that of watching two enthusiastic magicians practice routines from their bag of tricks together in real-time, guided by an unrestrained passion for craft itself..."🔗⬇️

Hello @GreenDay, it’s Randy. In 2004 I got on stage and played bass for you in your time of need. Today I tried to buy tix to see you in Nashville and unfortunately I am not a rich man. So now, in my time of need, I am asking for 4 floor tix. I’ll even play again if needed.

good music writing is when you say things like “this whips” “this bangs” “this slaps” “this goes stupid” etc.

on their latest album, @grrrlgangband takes cues from bands like The Breeders and Bikini Kill. But Spunky! is more than just nods to the '90s - it has the grit, the vigor, and the sense of community that animates good punk and indie rock from any era.
