The standard of truth has been erected. No unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing; persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, calumny may defame, but the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and independent till it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished and the great Jehovah shall say the work is done.
—Joseph Smith, 1842

This might be the first time I’ve ever watched an Apple ad that made me actively not want to buy the product
I told no lies in my post. I work in an industry that leans left, and it was disgusting to see the behavior of those I thought were my friends act like this.
I’m vaguely right-wing and refuse to make politics and politicians a big focus in my life.

I think we are the only church whose ex-members (apostates) spend more time listening to the leadership after they leave than they did while they were members.
Rules for thee but not for me…
Remember when the Mormon Church was gambling on GameStop stock?
Or how they manage a stock portfolio worth $62B?
But yes, me betting $5 on an insane 5+ leg parlay is the problem!

Wasn’t someone just complaining earlier that the leaders haven’t talked about gambling, so the “logic” was we could?
I think @ChristoffDTodd heard you 😂

Back in 2014, there was a man who was already aware of the irregularities involving Manchester City. That man now runs FIFA. The infamous Gianni Infantino, then UEFA General Secretary, abused his authority, shared confidential documents and, in short, outmanoeuvred the Investigatory Chamber, doing everything in his power to ensure that both Manchester City and PSG would merely receive a fine, avoiding a deeper investigation that could have led to a Champions League ban. All of these details were also revealed through Football Leaks.
Given his actions as UEFA General Secretary and, more recently, as FIFA President, I can only say, in my humble opinion, that Gianni Infantino has become a cancer on football and should have no place in the future of the game.

We appreciate whenever reputable organizations seek to truly understand our faith and commitment to Jesus Christ. Across the globe, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is experiencing a season of spiritual vitality and growth.
Official Church records show consistent worldwide increases in both membership and participation. We are encouraged by increased participation among our children, youth and young adults in the United States over the past decade. Further evidence of this growth also includes the historic announcement that 90,000 full-time missionaries are currently serving around the world.
We invite people who are curious to know more about our Church not only to consult official data concerning the entire Church membership, but also to come and see for themselves. The truest measure of the Church’s growth is found in the increased joy and purpose reflected in the daily lives of its members.
