Watch before going to the beach this Bank holiday. Be aware, this is the most dangerous time of the year as the air warms up quickly but the water stays cold. Cold shock kills in seconds, it becomes maximum in water between 10-15 deg. C. i.e. the current sea temps around the UK.
When Tina was swept out of her depth she remembered some safety advice she'd seen - #FloatToLive. Our lifeguard, Tarryn, raced to the rescue as Tina floated. Now they have been reunited. #RNLI #RNLIRescues #Lifeguards #WaterSafety #BeachSafety

Along many waterways, you may see throwline boards. Take a moment to read the boards. The more people who know how to use throwlines and know what to do in an emergency, the more chance of lives being saved. #BeWaterAware

Lewes crews flood and water technicians this morning took the opportunity of the high flow to undertake some local risk based training. This enables the team to prepare for incidents, learn how the water changes during tidal changes and hone newly learnt enhanced skills.

#FireKills | It only takes one accident to start a fire in your home Overloaded plug sockets can easily overheat and catch fire. ✅ Avoid connecting too many devices to the same socket ✅ Use a bar adapter on a lead rather than a block adaptor ✅ Only use one adaptor per socket
