This was a major achievement of our trade deal with Australia and hard fought!
Young Brits no longer have to do farm work as part of their stay in Australia - bringing big opportunities for them.
Typical that Andy Burnham wants to give this away.
Is there nothing this man won't betray or surrender?
🚨🇦🇺 NEW: Andy Burnham and Anthony Albanese are set to discuss increasing restrictions on British backpackers using Working Holiday Visas in Australia
Proposals include removing an exemption that means Brits don’t have to do rural work to extend their visa as well as the introduction of a migration cap

Labour's Budget was a missed opportunity. Working people (and yes, that includes employers) middle-income earners and those who have worked hard to save are being punished by higher taxes, weaker growth and falling living standards. Meanwhile, welfare spending continues to spiral, borrowing is rising and Labour has failed to take the difficult decisions needed to restore control of the public finances.
At a time when Britain faces growing threats from Russia, China, Iran and North Korea, Labour has still failed to set out a credible commitment to the defence spending our national security demands. Instead of confronting these challenges, Labour has chosen short-term fixes not long-term solutions, leaving working people across the UK to pay the price.
Future generations will look back and ask why, when the warning signs were so clear, this Labour Government failed to act.

Mahmood said she made the changes after her ‘public consultation’.
Today we learnt that just 1 in 5 people who responded to her ‘consultation’ were British citizens!
They asked foreign nationals if foreign nationals should get faster settlement in our country.
The Tories and Labour have perpetrated a huge SCAM on the British people.
Reform will reverse this madness.

This is the problem with this government - anything other than the most hard left wing policies will get shot down. That’s why this government will never be able to tackle any of the serious issues facing the country. New PM, same old Labour.

Autumn Budget left the “family farm tax” unchanged. APR/BPR still capped (100% relief only up to £2.5m, 50% above; transferable for couples). Some fuel duty and fertiliser tariff relief is welcome but short-term. Succession planning is more critical than ever for many family farms.

Despite a direction from me when Defence Secretary that the Skynet 6A , £2bn contract was too important to the UK space industry to offshore to Lockheed Martin it looks as if Wes is preparing to place the contract overseas. The damage it would do to Stevenage and the UK satellite industry would be irreversible and it was always assessed it could mean the end of the sector. Lockheed’s promises of factories in Newcastle were skin deep. The differences between types on offer were marginal. No.10 could, and should stop this. @AirbusDefence @wesstreeting @larisamlbrown @kevinbonavia @haynesdeborah

Kemi Badenoch is absolutely right. Whether you voted to leave or remain, the decision was made and we have left.
We should move forward. Andy Burnham is clearly out of his depth and is using this to distract from Labour’s incompetence and economic mismanagement.

Burnham lending Manchester resident’s money to China is suspicious and his handling of the Chinese state attacks on democracy protesters in the city is even more strange. Our new PM has a lot of questions to answer about his Manchesterism approach…

Isn't it odd that, when families and pensioners tighten their belts, this pathetic excuse for a Labour government manages to find £40 million of TAXPAYERS' MONEY to reward its union paymasters ...
... to be used to help destroy more small businesses.

Season 6 filming has wrapped; the series is expected around summer 2027.
Clarkson has publicly wondered what comes next "season seven is kind of ‘what are we going to do?" and talked about needing something "unbelievably ambitious" after the show to stand out from social media content.
Any 'unbelievably ambitious' ideas from yourselves?
