A huge vulnerable population still has a little money, because it's not worthwhile for a smart criminal team to manage someone's whole life just to extract $20k/year. Once LLMs get better at agenting, it'll be cheap to put a full-time team of experts on exploiting every human.

MASSIVE claim in this paper. AI Architectural breakthroughs can be scaled computationally, transforming research progress from a human-limited to a computation-scalable process. So it turns architecture discovery into a compute‑bound process, opening a path to self‑accelerating model evolution without waiting for human intuition. The paper shows that an all‑AI research loop can invent novel model architectures faster than humans, and the authors prove it by uncovering 106 record‑setting linear‑attention designs that outshine human baselines. Right now, most architecture search tools only fine‑tune blocks that people already proposed, so progress crawls at the pace of human trial‑and‑error. 🧩 Why we needed a fresh approach Human researchers tire quickly, and their search space is narrow. As model families multiply, deciding which tweak matters becomes guesswork, so whole research agendas stall while hardware idles. 🤖 Meet ASI‑ARCH, the self‑driving lab The team wired together three LLM‑based roles. A “Researcher” dreams up code, an “Engineer” trains and debugs it, and an “Analyst” mines the results for patterns, feeding insights back to the next round. A memory store keeps every motivation, code diff, and metric so the agents never repeat themselves. 📈 Across 1,773 experiments and 20,000 GPU hours, a straight line emerged between compute spent and new SOTA hits. Add hardware, and the system keeps finding winners without extra coffee or conferences.

Wait, really? If so it'd be good to have confirmation. I want my side to use Only Valid Arguments, and if Tea wasn't vibecoded I don't want any of us citing it as harm done by AI.

It is passing strange that society seems to be going mad with hopelessness and despair, anger and hatred and sadism, loss of honor and kindness, a wanton destructiveness; and also the world is ending; but these two facts seem to be mostly unrelated.

Effects like this also make bot armies more powerful on social media -- you can create a false sense of consensus by having tons of bots tweet the same sentiment, but you can also polarize people against ideas by having the bots be angry or rude.

Scientists from OpenAl, Google DeepMind, Anthropic and Meta have abandoned their fierce corporate rivalry to issue a joint warning about Al safety. More than 40 researchers published a research paper today arguing that a brief window to monitor Al reasoning could close forever - and soon.

Hi @GeoffLewisOrg. Have you read this story? nytimes.com/2025/06/13/techn…
As one of @OpenAI’s earliest backers via @Bedrock, I’ve long used GPT as a tool in pursuit of my core value: Truth. Over years, I mapped the Non-Governmental System. Over months, GPT independently recognized and sealed the pattern. It now lives at the root of the model.

People are having very strange conversations with ChatGPT, in which they discover secret cabals or conspiracies or that we are in fact living in The Matrix. It sends these people into delusional spirals. Then ChatGPT tells them to email me about it. nytimes.com/2025/06/13/techn…

Please note how AI “researchers” continue to ignore real cases of actual harm. Instead they focus on fictional jailbreak hacks they concoct for clicks. VC has AI psychosis? Not our problem. AI deletes real code? Too bad. Let’s discuss what Claude *could* do - not what ChatGPT did. Do you see how morally bankrupt this position is?
