This is what our society fails to comprehend.
If I work as a physical therapist, and I’m good, I’ll make $100,000/yr. And pay $15,000 in taxes. I can see 60 patients per week. But that’s the end of it. No additional tax money, no more patients can get my services. I provide a living for myself and my family.
If I own a practice and employee 10 therapists that each make $100,000, now I’m providing a living for 10 families, and because of my efforts there is now $250,000 in tax revenue.
So why should businesses get taxed more? Why should they even have to pay payroll taxes? My value to society is way more than 10X at this point.
But the vast majority of Americans can’t comprehend that, neither do our congressional representatives.
If I can do it, you can do it.
I truly believe we're all MEANT FOR MORE.
Transformation is a process that isn't completed in a short time period. I don't believe there is a definitive stopping point. I think our maximum potential is a moving goalpost that will keep us on a path to continue to reach greater heights and achieve more.
Achieve a better relationship with your spouse.
Achieve greater trust and love with your children.
Achieve more productivity at work.
Achieve more gratitude in serving our community and neighbors.
Achieve a healthier body to accomplish all of these.
Physically, my appearance didn't improve dramatically this year, but it's still progress.

If I can do it, you can do it.
Transformation is a process and includes many variables. Someone (very wise) once told me a quote that I've tried to apply to myself: HOW YOU DO ONE THING IS HOW YOU DO EVERYTHING
This isn't about losing weight, it's about trying to be the best version of myself I can possibly be. The outward appearance is what people initially see, but is merely an visible representation of an inner commitment I've made to myself to be a better husband, father, business owner, boss, and be stronger spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Because how could I think I can be a good husband, but neglect my body? How could I be a good employer but neglect my children? How you do one thing, is how to do everything.
I wish other aspects of my overall progress was as easily quantifiable as physical metrics. I feel like my wife and kids would give me feedback that I continue to be a better husband and father. That my employees would report that I am a better mentor. But I guess not everything can be objective.
My physical journey is still on course.

In high school I used to be in to olympic lifting (don't you dare blaspheme it by thinking that's what crossfit is). In my young married life I shifted to power lifting cause my ego was big and I wanted to lift as much weight as possible. My body can't maintain that course and it doesn't quite fit my goals. So this last year I shifted more toward body building, eating better, and maintaining good habits.
My focuses are:
Weekly date night with my wife
Nightly walks with my wife
Better engaged with my children
Read physical books to continually learn from others
More diligent and quality scripture study
Increased protein intake
Daily gym workouts
Here's to year 3.

Cougar Nation, this is Jayare Roberts. If you’ve attended BYU athletic events over the last 20 years, you’ve probably seen him. He has volunteered as a host for just about every sport. During my time with @byusoccer_w, he was nothing but kind and supportive. He recently had to stop volunteering because of a cancer diagnosis. I’ve seen you guys do some amazing things for people in need. Jayare could really use some support right now. Anything you can donate helps! Spread the word! gofund.me/916da2740
I’ve been called a Ute sympathizer by my fellow BYU fans. But mostly because I’ve blocked 5-10 key Ute accounts that make their fan base look bad.
Honestly, by and large, every fan base has their idiosyncrasies that their rivals won’t let go of.
Tough loss last week. Love our team, though!
I’ve offered my services as a RB, but I also played linebacker in high school. I was above average.
If anyone talks to Kalani, kindly let him know I still have 4 years of eligibility remaining.
After reading comments saying how this is not ok or inappropriate or there’s a bad culture in the mission, I think the best advice for everyone upset by this would just be:
Mind your own damn business.
There are losses that hurt because you could tell the team was playing their best and you wanted them to win, they just fell short.
This wasn’t one of those. This was a case of the players reading about themselves in the paper all week.
They were sloppy and undisciplined which cost them the game.
I’ve had absolute nightmares with Airbnb in the past couple of years where the owner refused to take responsibility and Airbnb refused to enforce anything. So Airbnb can suck it.
I'm convinced the big hotel chains are leading a policy lobby and pr campaign against Airbnb. Maybe that's not a secret. It seems way too coordinated. Also, the market for the style of accomodation that airbnb/vrbo provide is undeniable. Traveling with my family or a group I will choose that 100% of the time.

I am trying to get in contact with someone who attends LDS church in Anaheim, California.
Can you guys tag someone here, please?
Send me a DM.
Our health insurance premium with Select Health goes up from $1735/month to $1850/month next year. Our OOP max goes up 20% from $20,000 to $24,000.
I have 2 daughters with Cystic Fibrosis so we meet our OOP max every year in January.
Total healthcare cost for 2027: $46,200
If any of you want to vent about our healthcare costs, I can sympathize with you.
This is exactly what I want my O-line coach to look like.
I’m ego-lifting today.
Nobody tell that Chase guy.
Context: “Ego” lifting is not devoid of benefits. It will activate auxillary agonists to complete a lift, which isn’t always a bad thing.
There are times to go slow and isolate a muscle. And there are times where loading the weight and increasing intensity are appropriate.
