90s ADV dubs are the product of a group of weebs having to learn localization and voice direction on the fly so they just let the actors they got from community theatre and radio fly the ship and the results are endearingly amazing.

We could solve everyone's issue with English dubs in anime by going back to how ADV did it by putting some local theatre actors in the booth and letting them do their thing.

Nobuo Uematsu again said he thinks that trying to add Hollywood like music to games is a bit boring.
He feels like Japanese game music hasn’t progressed past aiming to be like Hollywood film music and that game music from small studios overseas is where the interesting game music is currently being made.

Everyone's different but it's very common for people to have valued games as children as a space to *exist* in. Whether you go the whole way and pretend or simply value meandering. Low risk spaces where you can just run and jump around for potentially hours creates an attachment.
